Industrial Production Operator — Richmond, VA

Role focus

Own the safe, efficient operation of our production machinery and help us meet customer demand with consistent quality.

Key responsibilities

• Set up equipment: select tooling, configure settings, verify safety devices, and prepare the line for operation.
• Operate machinery: run multiple machines as assigned, monitor gauges and outputs, and keep processes in control.
• Maintain and troubleshoot: perform routine checks, identify root causes, and correct issues to minimize downtime.
• Safety and organization: follow all safety protocols; maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
• Team delivery: coordinate with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production targets and timelines.
• Documentation: record throughput, quality data, and machine observations; report any discrepancies promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training in machinery operation is advantageous).
• Experience as a machine operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to read and interpret technical documents and equipment manuals.
• High attention to detail with a quality-first mindset.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced setting and shifting priorities as needed.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
