Low Voltage Technician Helper / Apprentice

Job Summary

We are seeking a Low Voltage Technician Helper (Apprentice level) to support low-voltage installations in residential apartment communities . This role is ideal for individuals with basic cabling experience who are comfortable working on active jobsites and assisting lead technicians with daily installation tasks. This is a hands-on position focused on learning, teamwork, and delivering a positive customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist lead technicians with low-voltage cabling installations in residential apartment environments

  • Pull, route, and secure low-voltage and network cabling for security camera systems

  • Perform rough-in work , including drilling and cutting drywall for access holes as directed

  • Support cable management, labeling, and basic cleanup of work areas

  • Follow direction from lead technicians and site supervisors

  • Maintain a clean, professional, and safe jobsite at all times

  • Interact professionally with property staff and residents; represent the company positively on-site

Required Experience & Skills
  • Prior experience pulling cable (low voltage, data, or similar)

  • Comfortable working in residential apartment units and common areas

  • Familiar with basic construction environments and jobsite expectations

  • Ability to use basic hand tools such as:

    • Snips

    • Screwdrivers

    • Drills (basic use)

  • Ability to cut drywall cleanly and accurately for access as needed

  • Strong work ethic, great attitude , and willingness to learn

  • Able to follow safety requirements and jobsite rules

Note: This is not a lead or expert-level position. We are specifically seeking tech helpers / apprentice-level candidates with foundational experience.

  • High-visibility vest required at all times

  • Safety glasses required

  • Proper work attire (boots, durable work pants, appropriate shirts)

  • Adherence to all site-specific safety protocols

Customer Service Expectations
  • Must be customer-service oriented

  • Comfortable working around residents and property management

  • Polite, respectful, and professional at all times

  • Able to take direction and adjust work as needed to minimize disruption

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to climb ladders and work overhead

  • Comfortable standing, bending, and working for extended periods
